[email protected] Maria Kostas has told stories on various stages around Chicagoland. Her stories are sometimes entertaining, sometimes historical, perhaps insightful, and quite personal. She blends the past with the present as she shares impressions gathered from working with large groups of people most of her life, including work as a teacher, a business owner, a bartender, and a couple of seasons as a carnie. |

Dr. Nataliya Omelchenko came to Chicago from Ukraine in 1999 with her four-month-old daughter. She built a career in medicine and later became an entrepreneur, founding YellowBlu MedSpa. Her story is about starting over, motherhood, hard work, and building a new life in America. |

Archy Jamjun is the curator and co-host of Outspoken LGBTQ Stories at Sidetrack and at Skeleton Key Brewery in Woodridge with Youth Outlook. He is also a storytelling coach for AIDS Foundation Chicago and a two-time winner of The Moth Grand Slam in Chicago. Archy has performed at various storytelling festivals and shows across the city and country for over a decade. He has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and a Masters in Creative NonFiction from Roosevelt University. His solo show A Boy & A Diva debuted in 2019 and his second solo show Talk to Her debuted this last Spring at the Speakstory Series at Shepherd University in West Virginia.

Margaret Burk has been fascinated with story since her first career as an actress and theatre teacher. Today she produces storytelling shows and tells throughout the Chicago area. She says even her 20-year career in fundraising for arts organizations was largely about telling compelling stories. Margaret is co-producer of Tellers' Night in Forest Park and Back Room Stories during the summer months in River Forest. Her one-woman show is Irish Roots, a Storytelling Journey. Margaret teaches Sharing Your Legacy classes to senior adults, believing that our stories are heirlooms - gifts to future generations. Corrine Zahra is a nonfiction writer and playwright from New York and Malta. She is the co-founder & co-editor of the only Gozitan contemporary literary journal Mgħawġin, offering Gozitan writers the space to have their voices heard. She is an Adjunct English Instructor at Malcolm X College. Corrine's first play in Gozitan dialect titled “Wirt il-Famulja” will be produced by Teatru Malta in 2027, and her writing has been featured in Memoryhouse Magazine, Articoli Liberi, THINK Magazine, Lovin Malta, Times of Malta, antae: a journal of creative writing and Sliced Bread Magazine. |
