I was selected as one of this year's Chicago Sun-Times Chicago voices.
It is an honor to be name one of Chicago's new voices, especially when you consider that in the mid 80's I arrive to this country without a voice. I was Undocumented, had a stutter and didn't know the English language.

May 11. 2023 I won the Ex Fabula Season 14 All Stars Slam 
I told a story about finding out about the sale of a very special food that my family enjoyed back in Guatemala and the troubles I experienced while trying to buy some of it to surprise my mother on her birthday .

January 6. 2023,  I won the Ex Fabula story slam.  
The theme was Languages and I told a story about coming to Chicago from Guatemala and learning that I would not only have to learn English but also Spanish.
